A friend of mine came over to take my maternity pictures for me. There was no way I was going to do this using the auto timer on the camera LoL. All the equipment used is mine but the pictures were done by my friend Kelly. I did the editing however. They turned out better than I could have ever expected. I do not like being in front of the camera at all!

I'm trying again with my pink background. Meredith was not happy to be taking pictures and you can tell by the look on her face lol. She was eating pez and just humoring me. Yes her eyes really are big!
My camera is a Nikon D40x...it does not have many lenses that will auto focus for it. I bought a 50mm f/1.8 lens knowing I would have to manual focus, but it really does take a lot of practice. Here is some shots I got the other day in my living room with very little light. Meredith was watching TV so sitting pretty still. I don't know how I could manual focus when she's being a wiggly worm like she normally is.

Meredith has been through so many colds, viruses, coughs, and ear infections since before Thanksgiving. SO finally we have a well child and I was able to take some decent pictures of her. I was actually just practicing yesterday morning because I had a couple of photoshoots later in the day, and needed to practice with my light a little. She actually sat and let me photo her...she is getting way better at this. She must know what makes mommy happy :)
