I can't wait to get this kid in my studio!! In the mean time I've been playing with my 50mm lens in the living room with natural light. Here are a few from yesterday. Eli is 1 week old in these pictures. He kind of looks like a little jailbird in the b&w pictures lol

My husband brought home some roses for Valentine's day. They turned out really pretty and these were taken the next day. I think they are even prettier today (17th)!!
Tulips are some of my favorite flowers. I bought these about a week ago from the grocery store and wanted a picture or two before they go back down into their bulbs.
I have to take down my studio for a while to make room for guests. Before doing that, I wanted to try out my other new paper background (blue for baby boy). I bribed Meredith with a huge sucker which worked OK, but she still was pretty wiggly. I did accomplish what I wanted to do though (practice with light and blue background).
I decided to try to make a new backdrop and this is one of them. I also have a darker one that I will probably use some, but not as much as this one. I wanted to practice with my light today so this is what I got. The last one is my favorite.
I somehow missed this one the other day when I was doing my edits. I like this one too...
